Drain plug




Anyone seen this and it not be something major?
Could it be from condensation?
Could it be from mixing oils?

 

Seen it many times. Water in the oil. Could be from a number of sources such as a blown head gasket. Is this from a motor you are going to buy or on your car?

 

My parents Tahoe.
I've been servicing it for the last couple years. Always used conventional oil. I don't THINK the dealer used synthetic in it before.

I just drove it on a 2,000 mile trip. Maryland to Fla and back. Its been sitting for a week since we got back. I warmed it up and drained the oil today and found this. No other signs of any problems.
