Default cam damage

Hey we have a cam that we pulled out of your vette and one of the lobes has some visible scratches from a lifter that was failing. Is this cam trash or is it able to be fixed? Note the scratches are very light and can't be felt when you run your finger nail over them.

You can have it reground but they're gonna have to cut some of the lift off the cam so it'll be a lil smaller depending on how much has to be ground off.

Ahh, no. It would likely be offset-ground to a smaller base circle. Lift can be reduced, increased, or kept the same depending on the base circle diameter...

Your loss I guess... Kip @ Cammotion just last week reground my core from 0.610"/0.601" to 0.641"/0.624". The LSA stayed the same at 112° but duration went from 233°/245° to 244°/249°.

Damn, duration went down from 240/245 to 239/244 too. Oh well, good to know for future reference. I'm assuming you just had to run a lil longer pushrod to compensate for the smaller base circle?!
