Default compressor position?

Does anyone know if GM built a LS motor with a Standen style A/C compressor sitting high on the right side of the engine?

There are several brands of aftermarket brackets that will do that. Search the net for LS1 a/c brackets.

Or if you don't want it to look like an erector set, Holley makes a very OE looking piece.

Sorry all! I guess That first post is not clear. I know about the Holley bracket. I have a brand new GM compressor that I want to mount high like the Holley bracket does. Plus the Standen Compressor has to have a cutout for anything over a certain RPM. Thanks for your responses!

I would call Vintage Air to see what they do with their FrontRunner kit. How do they limit the compressor from being over run? If they don't limit the Sanden compressor RPMs then I wouldn't worry about it.
