GenIV LS Motors - LS2, LS3, LS7, LSA, LS9 + truck versions
GenV are LT Motors - LT1 + 2014 Silverado engine and all 2015 trucks
variations are engine block material, head material, cams, springs, valves, intake manifolds, head port size and shapes, AFM/DOD or not, etc.
So there are many variations of the current small block and the ones that actually come in a production vehicle have a production code (LS1 or LS3, etc) depending on their configuration.
So asking what a 327 LSx would be called is not really a question with an answer. You could take an LS3 and install a stroker kit to 418 or destroke it to 327 and it would still be an LS3.
