So I had to sell my ls2 block as life threw me a curve ball. I found a used block , but it has no main caps. Do all blocks share the same main caps?

One of the meanest 402 combos I seen ran 10s on 17" tires with a 6 speed in a 2000 Z28. It wasn't with LS3 heads and a hi ram intake either.....

So my used block will need a .010 overbore to clean up. Ordered some je flat top pistons(-5). Sold my 799 heads and looking into buying a set of tfs 225 heads. Had Martin spec out a cam for it , just need to order it. Need to buy a main bolt set. Should I buy oem or step up to arp? Leaning towards arp depending on price. The motor will never see more than 6500 , but will see some nitrous.

If you haven't bought heads yet, I would take a Hard look at
MMS220s out of the box, probably the best street head for a 402"

Call ati and have them spec on for you. Smaller dia reduces the ability to dampen.
