K1 Technologies Rods and Crank?
All,
My ERL block and Wiseco pistons have arrived!
Next on the purchase list is the crank, rods, and bearings.
I am planning on purchasing a 4.125" and 6.125" K1 Technologies crankshaft and rods.
Anyone have any experience with them?
Probably will just go with Clevite bearings.
Thanks,
D

I have used them all for years and the K1 stuff right now is very nice on the cranks. On Rods I use Callies and Eagle and K1 and SCAT and no problems with any. TSP keeps almost everything in stock and so does BTR and both have good deals usually.

Maybe they have changed but before the Clevite main bearings on the LSx platform were often tight on the center thrust bearing. We always used Federal Mogul and/or ACL and had much better luck with bearing clearances but again maybe they are better now?
On rods they are all good and I use Clevite or FM or ACL all the time.

I like Fed. Mogul so I'll look into them for the mains.
Thanks for the response
