Default Milling rocker stands

Has anybody here milled a few thou off the rocker stands on a ls3 head to get the swipe pattern looking a little prettier with a big lift cam and stock rockers? even better does any company make a lower stand that will get me out of trouble? ive done alot of searching and come up with nothing sofar.

You can mill them, but the tabs on the corners have to be cut off. Not a lot of people understand/care about valvetrain geometry, so I'm not surprised a search didn't help much.

Cheers mate im in Australia so unless there is an off the shelf part ill just take to mine with the mill n hope for the best I reckon.

We have done a set or two before. We don't mill the bottom side. We would cut the part that the rocker rides on. A little more work but better then getting rid of the alignment tabs.

I have done it and works fine. Have also shimmed them up with Ford racing rocker pedestal shims. They fit under the stand and around the bolt nicely.
