Default 416 LS3 Build Underway (Pics inside)

My 416 LS3 short block is finally done. Thanks to Tony@Speed Inc., as well as Eric who machined and put the short block together, did a fantastic job. The block looks awesome and clean! It took awhile, but it was worth the wait. I will post more pics as the build progresses.
Your thoughts and inputs are greatly appreciated, thank you.

Finally joining the ls side. Sucks to hear about the LT but you will forget all about it the first cruise in the 416

Power goals? I never really thought about it. And at 13.0:1 CR, I guess whatever it takes to run in the low 10's n/a as mentioned on post #3.
The single plane efi carb type intake seem to be the ticket for alot of builds, especially since this is not my daily driver anymore. Plus, it's about half the money spent on a Fast 102/102 intake system. I don't think I can go slower or not make any power going this way

Can you give me some more information on this?

Are you getting more top end out of that setup?

Would love to hear more about this as I am planning to use a Fast 102/102 intake system ($$$$) and have the room under the hood.

It's all in the heads and air induction system. Don't get me wrong, the Fast 102/102 was initially what I was going to go with, but since it's more of a track car, I went with a race oriented single plane set up, and yes it will make the engine breadth a lot better which will yield to more mid and top end power. You will also need hood clearance for it, so an aftermarket hood is a must. I have a VFN wide Sunuco hood.

Yes it will require cutting the the cowl area all the way to the glass to clear this intake set up.

Cam specs will be posted as soon as I get the whole top end from Brian.
