Default LY6 Cam help

Hey guys, I'm swapping an '07 LY6 6.0 into my 91 Z28 and the motor doesn't include the cam so I was trying to find out the best cam to run on it. As of right now the block will be honed .30 over (due to everything coming with it, is setup for the 6.0 to be .30 over) and it includes 317 truck heads with LS2 springs. This is somewhat of a budget build but if it takes longer to swap so be it. The guy that had it previous had done a custom grind with the specs - 232/238 595/605 - this was all he gave.. Now I have been told the LS9 cam is good for these motors. Should I run the LS9 cam or go with something along the lines of an MS3 or MS4? Also these heads have no porting done to them so would it be better to have some machine work done on them no matter what? I was told with any custom grind I would need to put new springs on the heads because the LS2's weren't strong enough. Also, intake wise I'm thinking of an LS6 intake, but if I cannot find one we were debating to run a FAST 92mm. Any help is appreciated! I'm new to this LS stuff lol, been dealing with LT's for a long time and finally decided to go LS. Thanks for the help in advance!

The LS9 has made good gains for a budget cam, but a custom spec cam, or an off the shelf cam from a vendor will give you better results. You should definitely upgrade valve springs and pushrods.

What would you recommend for upgrades? I was told PAC 625's, PSI 1511's, or Brian Tooley Racing .600 lift springs. Push rod suggestions?

I talked to a guy at Speed Inc and he said the LS9 cam would be good for that setup. Looking at getting the (correction) BTR .660" platinum valve springs.
