I've been 7.0's @ 100mph on the 1/8th on radials with a 1.60 sixty. Never made a 1/4 mile pass but I think that would probably had been a 10.9x pass @127ish maybe.

Combo was 404ls2 with patriot stage III heads, pat g cam, kooks 2" headers, fast 92, etc. Only made 497rhwp and weighed 3350 without me in it. So 3550ish race weight.

I did run slicks on nitrous passes. Went 6.70's@105 on a 100 shot with a 1.50 sixty foot on the slicks.

I'm wanting to build a 10 sec M6 n/a car I can drive anywhere at anytime..This is what I got in mind anyways. The car is a 2000 Z28.
ERL block motor 440 cube minimum
Chris Frank heads (leaning towards his TFS heads since those heads are PROVEN over and over) and that guy has a name to himself
A custom cam by a cam guru. Like someone on here said the more cubes the less aggressive the cam can be to get the job done.
That's my first plan but plan B is to consider a set of LS7 heads ported by Chris Frank *Brodix maybe
The car is go be driven on occasions to car shows, cruises, races. Go be a street car before a race car so I'm not looking to turn the motor to 8 grand just to make power. I want neck snapping , tire frying torque on demand. Opinions anybody ?

Oh, thought you would be able to see the sig. Stroked LS7 441 ci. TFS 235 heads with a Comp off the shelf cam. Kooks stepped 13/4 to 17/8 headers.
Ran a 11.2 at 130 mph.

That's badass^^ your combo tells me that the car has 10 sec potential due to the 130 mph trap. Sounds like you frying tires running the 11.2

Nice times and a light car you have. Wonder what will your setup run in a Fbody?

havent hit 10s yet but 11.11 @ 125 with my 408 setup. was full weight pretty much at the time,so with a few weight reduction mods would prolly be there.that was with slicks also. tried my 295/45 17 radials and was a spin fest. quite a few have hit 10s with a stock cube setup, just gotta be fairly light and get a good 60'

He did that on a stock rim/rear tire sized 275 DR. I wish I still had my 27" Bias plys for Doug to try. It would go mid 10s easy.

A strong motor.

416 sdpc LS3, stock Ls3 heads, ported LS3 intake, Tick 235/250 116+5 cam 1 7/8 ARH/catted y, magnaflow cat back with cut out in I-pipe, LS7 clutch, stock 10 bolt and nitto 555 street tires. No 10 sec slip yet but ran a 11.9@125 with wheel hop issues. Full weight fully loaded t top 02 Z28 and 1/2 tank of fuel. There is more in it I just need to get the 9" and drag pack on. This is my daily driver 60 miles a day in Houston traffic with a/c. Dyno'd 501/473 in July with 25 miles on the motor at G-Force in Pearland, TX.

So fairly weight car (fbody) pretty much requires 530rwhp to run 10s with a T56?

Weight is always the obvious key factor. Give this article a read.

This is very similar to my current build. 447" 6 bolt Superdeck 1 with a set of Chris' LS7 RHS Pro Elite heads. Should have some results for you to check out in November.
