Default Anyone tap and plug

The DOD towers under the valley cover?

Seems kinda silly to depend on a small o-ring to contain oil pressure, when the hole could be tapped and sealed permanently.

Anyone know of any threads showing how to do it?

also wondering, wouldn't bits of metal would fall into the engine while doing it?
