Just noticed there is a little bit of damage on my cam bearing.. no idea what to do with it. the car was running perfect and was no damage to the cam.

Think I might just play it safe and get new cam bearings. Can get them from Texas speed for just under $50 it's says they are for ls1 ls2 ls3 so I guess they would also fit l76?

I'd replace them. If it's a stock motor you don't need coated Durabond and they will fit a L76. $33.99 https://www.texas-speed.com/c-199-bearings.aspx

basically stock for now with just a dod delete and ls3 cam but plan on building it for forced induction over the next few years.

You did that when you pulled the cam out.

So does the engine need to come out and be taken apart to change the cam bearing or can it be done while the bottom end is still together?

I've heard of it being done with the engine installed using dowels to keep the lifters up, but it's probably going to be very hard to do.

Would that bearing pass through GM's inspection process?

No way. I'd replace it without question!

Not worth a camshaft. Not worth metal in your pan.
