Picking pushrods

Well when I measured with my push rod length checker bare head to block it came out to 7.85 which is technically beyond what that checker is suppose to measure so I ordered a longer one to be more precise. I will go with manton and I don't see me reving beyond 7200 or so

Just measured my OEM LS7 pushrods and they are 3/8" diameter and 7.800" long.
I'd stay with 3/8" diameter.
I'm not sure I'd use oil restrictors. Years ago with small and big block Chevy's we used to install oil restrictors. We put them in the back of the block under the rear cam bearing.
Now most cam and lifter sets come with a tag that says not to use oil restrictors. Remember, the oil also cools the valve train.
I'd stay with 3/8" diameter.

After discussing my engine specs with Jim at Manton, he recommended Series 5, 3/8", .095" wall with .060" restricted tips.
