I'd stay with 3/8" diameter.
I'm not sure I'd use oil restrictors. Years ago with small and big block Chevy's we used to install oil restrictors. We put them in the back of the block under the rear cam bearing.
Now most cam and lifter sets come with a tag that says not to use oil restrictors. Remember, the oil also cools the valve train.
After discussing my engine specs with Jim at Manton, he recommended Series 5, 3/8", .095" wall with .060" restricted tips.
