question on a new motor

question on a new motor i bought a motor off a guy today he said it was an LS1 out of a 02 vette he bought the car at auction and pulled the motor and trans and scraped the car. once i got home i did a little research on the motor and have a few questions about some of the casting numbers.
The heads are 862's which from what i have found are heads from a 4.8-5.3 truck motor
The block casting number is 12561168 and it has a number 6 below it on the block. from what i have found this is an ls6 block
There is another casting number on the crankshaft seal that is 12559287 from what i have found that is from a 4.8-5.3 motor as well.
any info would be nice it appears to have upgraded fuel injectors they are RC racing injectors. the guy that sold me the motor said he had a buddy of his who is an GM specialist look at the motor he said it appeared to have some valve work and a cam job but he couldn't be certain without pulling it apart.

i also got the transmission and the rear end the plate on the trans has two casting numbers on it one is 6250001501 the other is 12551769 do those have any meaning to me? i plan to sell the trans
