I think I'm losing my mind...Cam install
Cylinder 1 is at TDC... keyway @ 2 o'clock. Cam dowel is at 3 o'clock, dot is straight down (6 o'clock) In this position, shouldn't the lifters for #1 be on the base circle of the cam and not the lobes?

when number one is at TDC....number six is also at TDC
If you line the camshaft sprocket with the dot at six O'clock and the crankshaft sprocket dot at 12 O'clock.....then number six is ready to POP and both lifters will be on the base circle.
BOTH dots have to be at the 12 O'clock position in order for number one to be ready to POP with both lifters on the base circle
