Default L99 lifters

I'm converting my l99 motor into an ls3, the motor is brand new so the lifters have never been used. I know 8 of them are dod lifters but are the other 8 standard ls7 lifters? No sense in replacing all 16 if 8 are the same and brand new

Did I miss something? I thought you ordered morel 2116's for your LS6 and was upgrading the top end? Now you have a L99 block?

Edit*

I just seen your other thread. Guess we know what that odd noise was now.

Lol you missed a lot man. My tapping in the motor turned out to be a bad piston in the #1 cylinder on tear down :/ so I parted out that motor and now have an l99 which I'm converting to an ls3. I really want to go with mroel 5315's but its hard to justify that when I'm not throwing a cam in it and the motor is brand spanking new lol

You can buy ls7 lifters individually but it will cost almost as much as our $95 ls7s. Dont forget you will also need ls2/3 valley cover. ls2 trays. ls2 front cover kit. std oil pump (if yours is vane style) and a different timing chain tensioner ls2 style as well of course as head gaskets and head bolts/studs. We can get you an entire kit price and save some time and money for ya.
