Default Is this timing chain re-usable? quick vid

I'm not sure if this much slack is normal or not.

Also does anyone have a P/N for the oil pump pickup tube o-ring? I keep on being told i have to buy the entire pickup tube (86$!!!) I have a 2006 ctsv ls2. Maybe a corvette or gto P/N will work? I'm not sure if if they are interchangeable.

Is there any other means of replacing the chain without seperating that o-ring? Im guessing thats a big fat no?! I really don't want to replace the chain, drop the pan, worry about oil pressure and fork over 86$ for a damn gasket. It's very tempting to keep this chain on and not dig into the engine more. 59xxx miles on car.

Edit: after searching around it seems this much slack seems about normal?

That was normal on my old chain that had 2500 miles on it.

The O-rings are available separately. Look on Texas Speeds website, they list the GM number.

The oil ring can be reuse unless you brake it they usually come out in perfect condition, made to last oil it and put it back carefully done.

GM specs on my LS1 says up to 5/8" slack is acceptable.your fine.
people worry too much about this.
I reused a stock timing chain and cam gear with a litte over 60,000 miles on them.the crank gear has about 168,000 miles on it.my slack is about the same as in your vid.
the aluminum block will grow a little bit as it comes to operating temp, taking up a little of the slack you see.
too much tension on the chain will cause premature wear on the cam bearing.
