Default Short block for boost?

Idk if this is the right section or not but I decided to go boost on my tank, going to be running an x275 88mm. What C.I. and C.R.?
My thoughts were 370-388ci iron block. Goal is to hit single digits in the 1/4

Do you have a budget in mind for the short block? The ERL superdecks are awesome blocks, but are around 7k for everything. If I were using the stock longblock, I wouldn't go higher than a 416, but you should be able to hit 9's even on the stock bore and stroke. Since I think you're still staying solid roller, I say stick with the stock stroke and rev her out. As far as the block goes, like I said, you should be able to hit 9's on the stock sleeves no problem, but an iron or sleeved block will help you sleep at night.

If it makes you feel better, I've considered boost as well. It's never fast enough. Definitely getting out of my original build intention now.

377 stock LS3 block all forged internals at 10 to 1 compression. Add some methanol and you can get in the 9s and drive the car every day to work and back IMO.

Stock 4.8 block on 20#'s should get you single digits for at least one pass

There's no one way to do it. If just 1/4 passes are your delight, the iron is the least expensive. Stock crank with forged rods and Pistons, 10:1 compression. I like my ERL block, personally, though.

You don't need a stroker crank to run 9's with an 88mm turbo.... but for longevity a forged one is probably a smart idea.

Basic K1 or Compstar crank/rods and forged pistons are all you need. The next limitation is the clamping force of the heads.... while stock thin deck casting heads can get it done (LS3/L92 or even 317's).... an aftermarket thicker deck head is better to stop deck surface deflection/warping.
