Default Double Roller Timing Chain ?'s

I have an 09 silvy with a 4.8 I am going to be installing a cam soon and am switching to a 3 bolt cam gear. I was wondering if a double roller timing chain setup would bolt right up (since it comes with a 3 bolt gear) or are there any modifications that would have to be made? To the cover or otherwise?
Thanks for any input.

Yeah, usually the front cover needs to be clearanced since the oil pump has to be spaced out. Usually the OEM oil pump needs to be clearanced as well si that the timing chain doesn't hit as it wraps around the crankshaft gear.

Be sure to put the spacers on right side up. You can put the drivers side spacer on upside down and partially block the oil passage.

Any particular reason you have to have a double roller chain? FWIW, if it helps, a SLP double roller clears a stock 6.0 cover when using an SLP oil pump without any problems or rubbing. For the most part, otherwise, be prepared for clearance issues: break out the grinder.

Hyd rollers should not need a double roller.

^I'm also just using stock GM crank and cam sprockets with the chain damper, in addition to the C7R timing chain. If it works for Gray86hatch, it will work for my application and to the OP as well.
