568@5500 is quite acceptable for a naturally aspirated street car.

That's good to start with. A little more rpm for 700. Change in cam and there it is without using a better head. That's a great combination. If the heads had more flow above .650 you could add more lift. Not many have that much with a smaller size engine Na. Best wishes with the new combination.

Congrats! I would love to see how a fast intake would do on that motor.

Congratulations! Very Good #s! Especially with Header size limited by
Chassis! Is your Super Vic Ported? Also how much vacuum are you
Pulling at 7000 RPM (that is a vacuum pump right?) Another 4*
Exhaust duration would help, especially with N20, and you are right
At the border with carb size. 950 worth a few a few at the track
But probably not worth the Driveability loss on the street.
Not a knock just looking where a few more might be in your combo,
Again congrats on your results, the car will be insane on the streets!

Absolutely, bigger cam more HP, just at the sacrifice of some street manners and some torque. I'll take my torque! lol I could have done more lift but would have also sacrificed some valve spring life, plus needed some longer valves, this cam will be easy on the springs. These heads continue to flow beyond .700", Frank does a nice job with them. thanks!

Yeah, this is probably more common than the SV I got.

Yeah, I think a 1 7/8" primary would be worth some, but not happening in this package. A 1.450" venturi 850 cfm carb main body will flow well over 1000 cfm, it's plenty for this package. On a dyno, the bigger cfm carb may make a few more HP because the dyno lets the engine accelerate regardless. In the car, the smaller carb will do better as you mention (as long as it doesn't choke it!) I have used this size carb on higher HP stuff (+750HP), don't let the cfm rating fool you! I set the regulator to about 11". On the aluminum engines you lose a couple the warmer/hotter it gets.

thanks, I hope it is insane on the streets, as long as it gets the ice cream home in time

What is the rest of your valvetrain? Which lifters? Rockers setup? Pushrods?

Did you have FRH do any porting on the Super Vic?

Nice result!

Trying to get 7/16 studs with 8 mm tops for my rocker arms. But everthing is ready. I have a very similar combination. Just more lift and around 8 degrees in duration. FRH ls3 heads and Tick custom solid roller. Simple and effective = a very good combination. Best of luck again.

Not too shabby. I expected more with the solid roller, but the 1-3/4" primaries are likely holding it back. t's definitely no slouch though.

With 250 more rpm would add up around 700 horsepower. But here's the kicker all done with a simple not over 420 cubic inches. Any one can make power with anything over 427 ci. and a decent head package 670 try that with a normal hydraulic roller 416 with a fast intake. You may lose some Tq but I think he will enjoy the top end. Simple solution for the bolts are 2 fold have ARP do custom set or purchase 7/16.Better yet call and get new trunions to match. Thanks again ER Racing.

T&D 1.7's
Trend 3/8 to 5/16 taper push rods, .135" wall
Morel drop in lifters

No, FRH did not do the intake. I match ported and mildy cartridge rolled the plenum and runners.
