whats a good cam to put in a lq9
So I have an LQ9 and looking for opinions on a cam kit, Its a weekly driver. I guess Im just looking for more horse.im sure somebody else has had this same quest but I couldn't find a thread on it

Assuming you're still running cast iron exhaust manifolds, I'd run the Lingenfelter GT 2-3 cam. Call them and they can get you the entire set up.
Cam/pushrods/springs/LS2 timing chain/oil pump/and gaskets
This should fall into your budget perfectly and the best part is this cam works with GM blue/yellow springs and you can run your factory tune without any issues until you can afford a dyno. With headers and retune, your mileage should increase as well.
IIRC the specs are 207/220 118 LS and .573"/.580" lift
Too bad your SS isn't AWD......I put a .062" jet dry shot in the air box of my 03 Silv SS and the 1.76 sixty foot made me some money street racing....
