Default Bolt Hole ? ? ?

Anyone know the purpose of this bolt hole? It's at the rear of the block on the valley deck, just behind the valley cover opposite from the oil sensor tower. I've probed it with a wire (seems blind) but when I stick an air hose on it, it appears to have some seepage...

I wish I could help but I have no idea. My Gen IV 6.0L block has the same hole.

Curiosity got the best of me. So I went to my honey whole, I've got a few gen 3-4 motors lying in wait. I have 2 with this whole in block. Both are gen 3, one a 4.8 and the other a 6.0. Both still hae the 2 thin ground wires still on them from being cut to remove. I pulled the bolt on the one inthis pic and there was oil on bolt leading me to believe its open to the galley?

Thanks! I was thinking it might have been for a lifting lug, but the ground wire makes sense.

On my 2004 5.3 that is where my harness ground wires go.
