L76 block with 243 heads?
L76 block with 243 heads? Looking at purchasing an engine. The engine is not close enough to look at without going there with the intent to buy. So I have lots of pictures.
The casting numbers aren't conclusive though. The block number is 12577461 but the heads are 243's. The valley pan shows that it has DOD/AFM. Has a truck oil pan and water pump.
What am I to make of this?

I had the same thing but 799 truck heads.
Replace the oil pan and accessory drive, delete the dod and vvt, and you have an aluminum block LS2.
Depending on the price, you might be better off buying an Ls2. Theres long block L92 (truck Ls3) pull outs on CL for 2500 around me. I would had spent the extra 900$ for the cubes and converted that.
