Default ebay main studs

Anyone tried or using the alper main stud kit? Just noticed them today. Between $100 & $130 a kit. Sounds like a good deal. Ive been reusing there head studs torqued to 80lb. Without issues.

What u guys think??

I just used a set of those head studs in my 418" build with no issues. I would not, however, tempt fate on something as critical as main studs. Worst case on the heads would be replacing the studs and gaskets. Best case on the bottom end would be catastrophic.

^ agree 100%. I've got the Alper head studs and they were not perfect. The hex socket on the end not being right on 3 of them and one nut not being parallel to the deck. The nut was replaced by Alper and the hex didn't bother me too much. No issues since and I torqued to 75ftlbs. My only issue now is the threads in my block surviving. Next time the heads are off I'm pretty sure 2-3 will need a timesert. I'll probably end up doing all 20 for good measure.

Ya I reused mine. You can use them a few times without worry.
