I just ordered Johnson 2116SLR from BTR. They are a tad cheaper than those Morels and after reading what felt like 100 pages, you don't find any failures.

Just been on btr, next and final question, the drop ins use the trays are 150 cheaper than the linkbar, same Lifter, is the linkbar version worth the extra $$?

I'd recommend 2116's for this application. Once you factor in new trays (which is always recommended) you're looking at a $118 difference. Yes, they're worth that difference. The internal design and travel are suited perfectly for sustained WOT without worrying about oil aeration and pump-up.

If you have micrometers, measure the bottom ground surface. Usually you can go just below the axle at like 30* to the axle. Then measure the top ground surface. Post the numbers back in this thread. If it's anything over .0005" difference, I wouldn't use them. Most of the time they're worse than that when they spread, though.
