head gasket options for 4.190" bore?
I have a resleeved 4.190" bore 5.3 from ERL. Flat top pistons are finally being ordered this week as my budget is back in action. What are my head gasket options?
LS7 crank/Ti Rods
Cammotion Solid roller, Jesel everything
AllPro 58cc LS7 heads 430cfm
AllPro LS7 intake - CnC'd and then cleaned up by hand to match heads
4500 series TB
Fuel e85
I would like a compression ratio compatible with e85. 13.5:1 to 13.8:1 I have read is about the limit. Goal is 700rwhp on $2/gal fuel
using a compression calculator and .051" compressed gasket with .005" deck clearance height yields 13.8:1

Are there thicker/thinner gaskets? Once the shortblock is assembled I'll order the gaskets to confirm where the piston sits in the hole.
I'm putting the RX-7 on a diet with CF doors, lighter battery, 1/2 tank fuel (Radium surge tank), and bias ply racing slicks which should put it at around 2640lbs wet without driver and 315's front/335's rear. Should be a fun Street/Road Race car!
