Default First time LS Build

As stated, this is my first time building an ls motor. I have a 2000 6.0 LQ4 with the stock 317 heads. My HP goals are around 400rwhp. No plans as of now for any kind of forced induction. I would like to go with some 799 heads as i can get them from a buddy for almost nothing. what would be the best route to go with the 799s? keep them stock or mill them for a higher CR? I would also like to go with the TSP 228r cam (228/228 .588"/.588" 114 LSA) as i can get it secondhand for cheap also. will the stock 799s do ok with this cam? I already have an ls6 intake and TB. so with the 799s, cam, and intake; should i be at my desired goal?

Thanks in advance! -Aaron

Also, if i keep my 317s and mill them down about .030 i should be around 10.5:1 CR right? would i run into PTV issues with a .600 112LSA cam? i plan on keeping the dished pistons. so would milling .030 with the .600 cam and ls6 intake get me to my goal?

Run as much compression as possible.
91 can easily do 11.25:1
93 does 12:1

That is a tiny cam in a 6.0. It'll drive nice.... But won't be nasty. The power is in the heads. Ported stock casting heads gain 30-40rwhp over non ported. Long tubes are a must.
