Engine won't turn over with spark plugs in
Engine won't turn over with spark plugs in The ls1 is ready to go in the car but when I hooked up the starter to a battery to prime the system the motor does not turn over. I pulled the plugs and it turned over fine. The ls1 has stock heads 228/230 cam with 7.4 pushrods, dual valve springs and jegs roller rockers. Any thoughts?

I would guess it to be hydro-lock.
Take a plug out on each side and turn the engine over with the coil packs unplugged. Gas should spray out the holes.
It should turn over afterwards. Make sure the oil doesn't smell like gas, you may have a leaking injector.
