Default Ls2 Block

Where can I buy a new ls2 block so I can build my forged aluminum 408 motor using a 4.00 stroke crank? Should be about 90 lbs lighter than a iron blocked stroker!!

I heard of someone who works at a gm dealer and he said he can already order the intake which means the block might be available. He said you just need to know the part numbers. does anybody know of the part numbers for the block?

Some part numbers where posted in a thread a few days ago. I believe the LS2 block number was in that list.

Just because you can order the part, since the part numbers are in the book you can order them, does not mean they are available. I remember trying to get ahold of an LS6 intake as soon as the LS6 information was in the part books. It was several months after the part number was out before orders started shipping.

Is there any info regarding the sleeve thickness? My 2 year mission will finally be complete if I can get my paws on one of these blocks.
