LS3 416 Build - Need Advice On Top End Componentd
Good Afternoon,
I'm in the process of putting together parts for a March build. I have a 2005 GTO that will be getting a Thompson Motorsports LS3 416 Stroker and an F-1A-94 procharger. I need help piecing together a few parts that will give me a powerband from 3000-7000 RPM'S. Fuel will be E85.
1.) I was considering the MAST 265cc 4.00" + bore LS7 heads. These should work with the stroker since it has a 4.060" bore. Will these give me power in the RPM range that I'm requesting? Who should I have port my Heads?
2.) I was also considering the Vic Jr intake with TEA porting the intake runners. Should add a little power through the curve.
3.) Cam will be custom spec'd by Pat G to compliment the system components and the requested powerband.
4.) For reference the headers will be Kook's long tube 1-7/8" headers with off 3" road pipes followed by an x pipe and dumped before the rear axle.
Thank you for your time.

So far I'm the only person I've seen test those heads. Even normally aspirated
Power curve took off at 7200rpm. No need for a huge cam.
I like the simplicity of the intake heads combo you mentioned. Note the Holley hi ram port matched perfectly to those heads.
