Default Valve clearance

Can a .612" cam be installed without a valve relief? I know timing makes a difference, but I am fishing for a general answer. Our .560"lift cam has zero clearance issues.

Yeah, depending on the valve events.

Yep.....we need you to provide more than JUST valve lift.

As a point of reference, I run .668" lift (1.8 ratio rockers) with a stock LS3 short block and ported OEM heads.

Jus' sayin'.......

Without added valve clearance???...this is very good to hear. We will check it but was hoping the valve angle was working for us...

Again.....lift is a small part of the equation in regards with valve clearance.

You can have valve clearance issues with .500" lift if your valve opening and closing events are off.

THAT'S WHY you need to provide the cam's specs if you want anyone here to help you!
