Cam and heads help I have a 2002 Z28 Camaro and I am trying to reach the 500 hp mark. My car has pascetters longtube headers, off road y pipe, slp lid, 3.73 gears, 3600 stall, and a 100 shot of nitrous with the zex wet kit. The car is making 405hp to the wheels with the 100 shot. I recently just bought a 233/239 .600 lift 112 lsa cam with ls7 lifters. I figured this upgrade would maybe get me halfway to 500. I'm looking for a good set of heads or to do something to mine now to reach that 500. And if the cam and head swap won't do it alone then what else can I do? Any help is appreciated!!
I was at 390rwhp when I had the tsp 233/239 cam you have, tsp 1 7/8" long tubes, ory pipe, and slp lid going through a yank ss3600 stall. So I would say with some good flowing heads that you'll be real close to your 500rwhp mark with the 100 shot. If not it would take that much of a bigger shot to hit it. But I would just put some nice heads on it along with that cam, maybe an electric cutout and not worry about what it made as long as it ran good at the track. Sounds like a fun 10 second car man.

You won't be far from your goal with the addition of the new camshaft. I would recommend simply upping the shot from 100 to 150. This will be the most cost effective way to get you to your goal. If you are not willing to do that then a set of CNC factory castings should help get the extra you're needing to reach your goal.
