L92 cam / build plan...Please comment
This is what I'm looking at installing:
Comp Cams 156-402-13 cam
Comp Cams 5456 Phaser limiter
Comp Cams 850-16 Lifters
Comp Cams 26918CS-Kit Valve Springs
Comp Cams 13702-Kit Trunnion Kit
100-150 shot NOS more than likely later.
Into this:
2007 L92/6l80 combo with 74k
I do want to keep the VVT.
I will NOT be able to fit any long tubes....More than likely only either block huggers or LS3 manifolds. Will be running 2.5 true duels...no cats and thinking XR-1's if I can afford them

Do I need the lifters and springs?
Is the Trunnion kit a solid deal or am I better off a different route?
Any Suggestions or Thoughts???
Thanks, Steve
The engine with VVT "likes" a smaller camshaft lobe.
The Valve Spring, PSI 1511ML
Re-use lifters if inspected.
The rockers can be shipped the CHE.
The "limiters' are likely required.
What type of use for your car ?

Your best bet is a LOW RPM smooth running camshaft design, a GREAT VVT application !
A Rock Racing Camshaft is the one you will be most happy with when driving.
I would like to add an offer to use my ECU-882C for you needs.
This ECU allows easy operation of the VVT motor DIFFERENT from the GM L-92 strategy designed mostly for emissions, low NOX.
I have a REGRIND specification, Crower Cams, that has worked well for the same request as yours.
The Intake, this is based on max RPM ?
My guess is 6K ?
Future "dry" NOS = OK @ 6K
I would fit the correct injector NOW as the calibration expense would DOUBLE if none in the future.
Bottom Line : The L-92 engine is built well by GM, built well for your request.
The Cam Lobe if .560" lift would work well with Yellow Springs and NO rocker changes required.
