Ls-3
im looking for help in a new project,
I need some help with a formula to build an LS-motor
that will see nothing over 5K but cruise at 3,200
reliability is every thing it will be going in an airplane,
a 4'' stroke would be nice im thinking 9.5 10.1 compression
looking at the LS-376 for $7,200 and change out crank, rods, pistons,
exhaust valves, rockers for a shaft set up
1 am I in the right direction?
2 lunati crank
3 bullet rods
4pistons ?? need help there
5 T&D rockers and push rods
any thoughts would be grate
with a dual valve spring swap
and the Stroub bushing upgrade for the rocker arms ---->> http://www.straubtechnologies.com/ls...trunnion-kits/ .
I know of nothing that'll prevent the rotating assembly from that engine from cruising all day long at 3200 RPMs; the extra dollars you're looking to spend would simply be an exercise in burning good cash.
Only issue is that you specified 9.5 to 10:1 compression and this engine is 9:1 compression. But that's nothing than a little milling won't take care of!
Best of luck!!
KW
a 2 to 1 gear box goes on the back facing forward of course,
I don't no how much load would be on it that's why I was looking
for way over kill so I don't have to think about it,
I no they swap out the iron crank and powder rods,
I was looking to up the cubes and lower the compression as to not
worry about detination and try to come out of it around 500 hp and tk
think this is possible?
they are doing fantastic thing with this set up in Canada I want to get on this ride,
