Ya, it's kinda my own fault....I had them locked and loaded in the rocker arms while in the middle of doing my h/c setup, then a couple of these threads popped up and I was to impatient/excited to just wait for shipping a few days for a bushing style. I put about 3,000 miles a season on my car and figured I would just get threw the season with them. Well post after post kept rolling in on the comps so I ordered the bushing style. I really did not expect to see pitting on the trunnions after only 1,000 miles tho.

If your not over .600 lift you'll probably be okay though.

Let me get this straight: LS3 stock bearings suck but OEM trunnions are okay despite less contact area? So just do bearings like I see some doing, or best to just do both leaving stock rockers?
For a road race/track use with a .625lift cam.

Thanks LS1tech.

If you are using stock rockers with a .625 cam, I would check them after EVERY RACE. You are putting them way past their normal travel arc.
