Default Rod bolt differences early gen 4 vs 2007+

Hey guys, I'm putting a 2005 gen 4 internal 5.3 together for boost and my buddy happened to buy a bunch of oem gen 4 5.3 parts, rods, pistons, rings, bolts, gaskets etc. I bought 16 11570662 rod bolts off of him. The old ones when removing had to be yanked out kind of tough from the cap to get the little ferrel out. Well the new ones just sit right in the cap with no resistance and the ferrel doesn't contact the edges of the inside bore of the rod cap bolt hole. I ran a couple checks and it looks like theyre for basically all v8 gm engines 2007+. Rods change or something? I assume I should probably not use these even though theyre the correct length and thread in fine. Thanks in advance!
