Default Link bar lifters or not?

My ls7 was going to be a simple cam swap and get the heads checked, but I wanted to replace the lifters while I was in there. I was going to get an oem set but then talked into morel lifters. Now I have the heads ready to go on, I'm second guessing myself. Should have I gotten the link bar lifters? I know they are probably the best choice but are they necessary? Are the trays prone to failure?

I notice the cars that really rev high or launching at 5000 plus rpm most of time uses link bar lifters.
Youll get more opinions im sure but i kinda look at lifters like food. You get what you pay for.

So the basic question becomes- "How do you use the car?"

As long as you get new trays with the new lifters, you'll be fine.
