Default Qiuck question techs

Have a question for uall techs because i know u know ur stuff what would be the rpm range or shift points on a 235 243 on a 109 lsa cam on a 5.3 with supported mods ext cab 2002 silverado thanks in advance

I've used a 235 243 .621" .624" 113 in a manual LS2 HSV GTO.
At the track I chAnge gears just past 7,000rpm and run it out the back at 7,400rpm.

Personally I think that would be a huge cam in a little 5.3.

Oh ok bro right now its tuned to 6,900 and 7000 but to me it stops pulling like at 80mph maybe its falling out of its powerband would u know what does the lsa mean like mine is at 109 what are the differences thanks

What RPM is it turning at 80mph?

Unless you have a large plenum short runner intake, anything above 6500 wont happen. And larger headers to move the air. Truck intakes (any of the stockers) runners are too long for high rpms. Youd need a holley hiram or proflo from edb at least. Unless you are forcing the air in. Even then cu on such a narrow lsa, it may try to make more tq higher up, but maybe a wider lsa would be more beneficial for you?

Basically your cam is trying to go where your intake says "hell no"
A TSP 220/224@116 with stable valve springs is all you need for 7 grand in 325"

What you're being told is that your cam is a poor match for the engine and intake. A classic case of 'bigger NOT being better'.

As Targa and Dyno Junkie (1st reply) recommended, you need a 'smaller' cam.

Pretty narrow. With that much duration ptv could be an issue. And fuel injection prob wont like iy either. Esp if its any more advanced than 109. really where the hell do people get these cams lol.
