Lsx454 recall So after many hours researching, I elected to go for the LSX454 in my 70 Impala.
I literally ordered it yesterday and received bad news shortly there after from the GM Dealer. I was told that GM announced that the all of these engines are to be returned to the factory for repair/modification.
I was told no other information was given but that they had recently changed head vendors .
Does anyone know anything about this?

They are a great bang for the buck IMHO. I'd reachout to said dealer and ask for details. How long before it can be ordered and why was it recalled. I'd try contacting www.paceperformance.com and ask if your dealer doesn't give you a answer.
