LY6 Compression test done! Am I screwed?
Hey Guys
I just did a compression test on my LY6 that's still on engine stand. It has 158k miles. The only upgrades done ASA cam and VVT delete.
Piston 1. 175 psi
Piston 2. 155 psi
Piston 3. 155 psi
Piston 4. 155 psi
Piston 5. 155 psi
Piston 6. 155 psi
Piston 7. 170 psi
Piston 8. 140 psi
My question is how does it look to you guys,.

Hey!
Id say about 8 months with me it's been on engine stand. Not sure how long the junkyard had it before me lol
I also just had the 823 heads gone through, valve job, seats

Leak Down Test
Hi LY6, as I knew.
The cylinder walls will "rust" which is no problem.
You could induce some WD-40 then do a Leak Down ?
Typically though a waste of time without a hot engine.
MY observation is a GOOD seal with your given report.
