LS2-L76 small block compatibility
Thanks in advance for any info you can give me!
Your l76 has active fuel management (afm/dod) and vvt variable valve timing, which is why they have notches/valve reliefs on the pistons.
Using an ls2 shortblock would only work if you removed vvt, otherwise youd have to flycut the pistons. You can retain the afm with the ls2 short block, but its better and cheaper to delete that as well.

My intention was to get a bare block and swap everything over to it. Will my pistons in my current block transfer over to the new block?
For reference on the parts, we can get you the ls2 chain, rings, crank and rod bearings and a hi flo oil pump for $295 shipped.
Those rings are and odd size so you cant just throw a 1.5/1.5/3.0 ring set in em.
