Interchange of l92 2007 escalade with a newer engine I have a 2007 escalade with a 6.2 l92 engine. Everything in the yards have 120000 plus miles.Need to know what is the newest engine I can alter to make it work. I have a friend that has a large salvage yard and he will give me anything newer that will work. I know there are differences in the reluctor on the crank. the l92 only has vvt. What can I make work?
Flex Fuel/Non Flex Fuel Hi, I own a 2007 Escalade that has the 58x as do all 2007+.
My car is NOT Flex FUEL.
I would ASK for a "roll-over" Escalade engine as this is common, not with the newer GDI engine.
So I ask is your 2007 Flex Fuel ?

L9H 2009-2014 would be an option. VVT and flex fuel, but no AFM.

L9H, L94, L99 or LS3 will all be direct bolt in...L94/99 are AFM/VVT, L9H is VVT, LS3 no AFM or VVT, technically any GEN IV LS motor will work, what are your goals? Why do you need to swap the motor anyways?
