Upgrading my LS2 with LS3 heads for boost - spring question Looking at putting some LS3 heads on my LS2. I'm going to be running an LSA supercharger with it. I'm looking at some rebuilt LS3 heads that have PAC1218 valve springs already installed.
Would it be a problem to run those springs with my stock cam and pushrods? Stock LS2 cam is .525/.525. I'm leaning towards just running the stock cam as I'm not looking to set any HP records and it should retain good mpg. LS9 cam was on my mind as well though.

Those springs will be great with your stock cam! An upgrade, even!
Forget the LS9 cam though, it is kind of a turd, and loses low end compared to the stock LS2 cam, which, for a stock cam is pretty good. The LS3 cam is identical except for a little more intake lift.
On edit- just noticed you ARE going to run a supercharger. THEN the LS9 cam should work.

Thanks - I may just leave the LS2 cam in as it will work decent for boost and I'm not looking to go much above 500whp to start (wherever the stock S/C pulley) puts me at.
I'll see if the LS2 cam gets me there and how the rest of the V1 platform can handle the power at that point.
