Default Could I get some cam help?

I'm not a tech or anything so I don't know a lot about this. I have a 71 Cutlass I am swapping, 4L80 and 373 gears. I have an LH6 complete and need to replace the cam, etc. It's going to be a weekend hot rod, and occasional long trip, no track time. Still, I'm looking to maximize my power. It has the 243 heads and TBSS intake which is a plus. I'll probably keep the factory computer for cost savings and cruise. I have thought about building a ms3 because my son has experience tuning that.

I talked to a few sponsors and have a few recommendations fro them below. I don't know which one would be better. They recommended these based on the stock converter. Can I do substantially better if I change the converter too? I don't really understand how they work together or how an aftermarket tc will change the way it drives. I'd like to make the car as quick as I reasonably can. I also read this article comparing factory cams which may be an option. http://www.hotrod.com/articles/ls-cam-test-comparison/

I REALLY appreciate the help getting this thing back on the road after about 30 years of sitting.

tick performance
The only cam they have that will work with factory converter is the Street Heat Stage 1 Camshaft. 224/227 | .605”/.600” | LSA111+2 25-35 whp gain

cammotion
Grind number XA216/325-XA222/232-112+4.
Lift with 1.7 intake .552" / exhaust .549".
Duration at .050" intake 216 / exhaust 222.
Lobe separation 112 with 108 intake center line.

texas speed
212/218, .600"/.600" (112 LSA)

In addition to your camshaft, you will also likely need our DOD delete kit:
http://www.cammotion.com/dod-vvt-del...fm-delete-kit/

And, if you would like to eliminate the VVT feature which many do, you will need this kit:
http://www.cammotion.com/dod-vvt-del...vt-delete-kit/

We can make your camshaft to retain VVT or to work with the VVT delete kit. Your choice.

This motor does not have VVT that I'm aware of. Thanks for the links!
