Default Scored bores scrap block?

Hi Guys,
Ive pulled the Dart heads off with a view to upgrade to a 235/245 quality head to feed the 416 a bit better, and its not looking great.

Plan was to do a light service hone and some Total Seal rings new bearings clutch etc, a freshen up.
But now its got more serious, current bore is 4.070 on Mahle pistons, there is a set of 4.075 Mahle available, but 4.080 is not available, it is in Wiseco but with a 8cc cut out and a dish on the top of the piston.
Other than that its scrap the block, hopefully salvage the pistons and machine a new block to take the 4.070 pistons i have, and total seal rings on the current pistons.
I'm not sure the 4.075 piston will delete the damage, and the 4.080 Wiseco is going to be vastly different in weight? I cant find any specs on the weight of the Wiseco, I am thinking crank balance here. Can anyone point in the right direction to find the weights of Wiseco pistons, are they any good?

Thanks

The only way to really know 100% is have the machine shop take the worst one out to see when it cleans up fully. Autotech / Racetech makes great pistons at an awesome price so maybe they can do a little custom work to help with the weight. Lance at Pantera EFI is vender here and can get you a good price.

I’ve alao found JE do a 4.085 to make a 419CI this is looking promising, too thin or ok?

I almost said that, but held back. We have fixed several with a 4.085" using both JE and Racetech and so far it has not failed. Best bet might be to also sonic the block to be sure. Still need to see where that wall cleans up at.
