Default Head threads question

What’s up everyone?

So I’m waiting to install my heads until I get all the heads bolt threads cleaned up. I ordered up both ARP head thread cleaners but I still haven’t received the smaller one of the two, M8x1.25. I got the other larger ones all cleaned up.

When I read threads about cleaning out the holes I rarely see people mention cleaning the smaller bolt holes. Is it that big of a deal or should I just wait to I receive it to clean them out before head install?

Thanks

You can notch an old head bolt and it’s basically the same as a thread chaser.

Be sure to blow out all bolt holes prior to bolting te heads down. Failure to do so could result in "I told you so"

I put a straw taped in my vacuum hose and sucked all the water out of the bolt holes. Works good and quick and better than blowing out the holes.
