Default 6.0 Max Effort Build Questions

I plan on redoing the LY6 in my car this winter. I would like to do a N/A max effort build as the car is mainly used as a 1/8 mile car. I have a few questions regarding raising the compression.

I'm looking into the Cam Motion Race Day LS cam (238/252 108.5+3.5) .621 .604 I'm currently at 9.6:1 compression which is stock for the ly6 and this cam recommends 11.75-13. What would be the best way about raising my compression, do I get new pistons, shave my heads some and get a thinner head gasket or a little bit of all 3? I know I will most likely have to flycut which is fine.

If any one else has any different ideas regarding cam or compression I am open to all suggestions. The main goal is to get my car into the high 6's.

The car is a 1984 Monte Carlo SS
3460lbs
6.0
L92 heads
BTR .660 springs
Victor JR intake with elbow
1 7/8" long tube headers
Full 3" exhaust
28" tall rear tire
3.89 gears
4k stall which will get changed depending on cam chosen
TH350

The car has been a best of 7.35 @93.9 with a BTR LS3 stage 4 cam, I changed to a Cam Motion Junk Yard Dog hoping for gains as it was designed for a single plain but the car lost ET and MPH. The best it ran with the cam motion was 7.46@90.8

A little bit of all three.

I would try to get by with JUST the new pistons and thinner gaskets and try to end up with quench just slightly below .035".

I would do that cam... but as a LLSR from Cam Motion. Kip and company can get you a package deal. The L92 heads flow awesome above .600... so use their advantage. And when combined with a single plane, a solid roller works even better.

But I would try to get compression up to 11.5:1 and quench around .030-.035. So new pistons, shaving, and new gaskets should all be in the works.

And I'd restall to 4400 at least.

Wiseco's Pro Tru pistons are cheap and feature a 4cc dome. That should get you close to 11:1 and then you can mill the heads without worrying too much about PTV since they have valve reliefs.

Pistons are the way to go on this. Check with Wiseco, Diamond and CP Bullet to see what they have to give you the desired compression.

For a max effort are you against stroking it? By the time you buy new pistons and have it all machined again you might as well put a bigger arm in it. Just my 0.02.
