How long do valves last?
While you have them off the engine, it would benefit you to have a valve job done. Very affordable, and your machinist will tell you if you have any issues as well. Most valves in these engines last many years, and hundreds of thousands of miles.
Unless you have an extreme set-up that puts excessive stress on the valve-train or you have a poorly put-together valve-train, the valves usually last as long as the engine.
That said......get a valve job since the heads are off the engine.
