But do such discs really offer any benefits in terms of torque holding ability ?
We are gonna find out!
The clamping pressure with the Monster clutch cover is a little greater plus the lack of auto adjuster is a good thing for pedal consistency i think.

Default Dual Friction Clutch Disk

Hi TVR, sure a LOT of "tech" learned by MANY who have NEVER worn out a clutch disk.

MY GUESS is just that their ENGINE did not LAST ! !

Been struggling for time, but got a few bits done, I spun the starter motor with no plugs in and got the oil pressure up, it’s showing 32psi, I will get it running this week!

Bit more done, water is in ITB's idle set up for a consistent idle, filters should be completed in the next few days, then its road test..

Subscribed! I may have missed it, but when engine management are you using?

If it's a DBW GM PCM, are you using a servo to drive the mechanical linkage for the ITBs?

Its called Emerald, its a UK Manufactured ECU, very basic requirements, Water temp/Air temp/Throttle position/Crank sensor, You can then plot at the required RPM whatever timing or fuel you want RPM vs Load site, there are quite a few tables to adjust things at every 10C for air or water temp.
Its a cable operation.

Car moved under its own steam today, I reversed out of my unit and the brakes went to the floor! Next to useless stopping power, but I drove it around the yard just to get a feel for the new clutch plate, and I am pleased to say not a hint of judder and very smooth take up.
engine feels really sharp on the throttle pedal.
i dropped the wheels of and found a load of air in the front left caliper, why I don’t know? Something to do with being stood for so long???
Gonna be wary of that for a little while...

If the brakes have not been touched...no way should there be air in there !

Mine has sat for months at a time, and never anything like that. Definitely keep an eye on that or check through the system
