Default Need help with cam report.

I need help with this cam report. What is the duration @50. I know the rocker ratio is supposed to be 1.7
Will this perform well in a 5.3?

This is the card it came with. Just trying to see if it matches up. Thanks

On the report it appears that the intake and exhaust lobes are labeled wrong.

Int. 217
Exh. 211

When it should be 211/217 . So it would match the cam card.

Hope that makes sense.

How do you come up with the duration @50
it's going in a rock crawler so i can't run a high stall.
what should it make in a lmg (flat tops with 799 heads)?

On the cam report go to the -

lift column
scroll down to .050
look on the right to the duration column 211.84.

Not knowing the rest of your setup......I'd SWAG it at right around 388 to 400 HP.

But in a rock crawler, seems to me that you'd be more concerned about torque below 4000 RPMs.

yea I am concerned about tq. But I had a tbi 350 in it. The tbi could get the tires turning but ran out of power up top. I want a balanced combo with tq and hp.
The engine is stock 08 5.3 lmg flex fuel with 160k miles and stock flat top pistons and stock 799 heads. Only upgrade will be the cam and exhaust .

Well.....the cam'ed 5.3 should make right about the same torque of the tbi 350 below 3000 RPMs and will far outpace it above 4500 RPM, even with a modest sized cam.

I would say......'go for it'!
